It is that time of year again. Time for the American Cancer Society's bike-a-thon. Time for me to get my bike on for hundreds of miles a week. Also time for me to ask if you would support me in my ride. My quest to help fight cancer. My ride to help with prevention, education, and cures.
Cancer is something that can not only strip you of your health, but something that makes you feel helpless even if you are doing all of the right things. Cancer is something that stays with you, deep in your gut, long after you've been treated. I want to help make cancer a part of the past and not a part of our future.
So help me with my fundraising by going to this website. Send $5, $10, even $20 dollars. I'm riding 69.3 miles from Philly to South Jersey. So a dollar a mile would be a lovely $69.30!!! Every little bit helps and every step closer to my goal makes me pedal that much faster.
And since so many of you help me with my goal are from the knitting world, I want to thank you. For every person who donates and leaves a comment on the blog I will put your name in a hat. I promise there will be some kniterly prizes like yarn, stitch markers, and even roving or handspun yarn.
So help me get my bike on and raise my funds. Thanks so much for all your help.
Oh yay! I hate cancer. Thanks for helping to destroy it. I'll cruise over there to the donations page . . .
